Bay access to host laser sailing clinic at Lakewood

Bay Access is holding a four month Ike Recovery Laser Sailing Clinic at Lakewood Yacht Club starting Feb. 1 and lasting through the end of May.  The Clinic is a special program designed to help local Bay Area youth sailors who have been kept off the water because of Hurricane Ike.

Lakewood Yacht Club Sailing Director Mattia D’Errico and accomplished Laser sailor, will direct the program and coordinate the coaching.   Lakewood Yacht Club has also agreed to allow Bay Access the use of its youth sailing facilities for this extended Clinic.

To register for the Ike Recovery Laser Clinic, sailors can check the LYC Seahorse webpage at http://www.lycseahorses.com/ and click on the Clinics button.

Cost of the clinic is $175 per month or $560 for the entire four months which includes on-site storage fees.  Checks should be made out to Bay Access, which is not for profit charitable organization focused on youth and amateur sailing on Galveston Bay.
